Envisioned as an ever-expanding collection of assemblage-based sculptures, this work is primarily concerned with how objects – both singularly and collectively – suggest an imagined narrative. For viewers, this narrative is spurred by object recognition and a tactile projection that engages personal memories. At the same time, the work also obviously displays an artificial treatment of the objects and their spatial relationships. Much like memory, this installation of found, manipulated and fabricated objects is equal parts authentic and artifice. |
